To ensure that I was complying with legislative requirements, I recently attended the protective behaviours and mandatory reporting PD. My professional learning was then put straight into practice in the classroom to best meet student needs in the context of the Health Curriculum. Descriptors met: 6.1, 6.2, 6.4
I noted that differentiating mathematics was an area that I required further development during a reflective practice meeting with the deputy principal. I organised to attend a professional learning day held at AISWA in Perth. The topic was how to differentiate primary mathematics. When I returned to school I put into practice some of the techniques I learnt on the day and reorganised my student groups to better facilitate teacher supervision of levelled groups.
